The Honolulu City Council unanimously passed a bill to extend the time that food trucks can park on city streets, and Mayor Peter Carlisle is prepared to sign it immediately.

Bill 59 was on the 1 p.m. agenda, and was passed without objection after the bill was modified slightly to re-include “huckster.” Instead of 15 minutes, vendors will now get three hours.

Carlisle has already sent out a media availability notice that he’ll sign the bill at 3 p.m. in his office, flanked by the bill’s sponsor, Tulsi Gabbard, and various vendors.
