Kakaako residents are planning to wave signs on the corner of South St. and Kapiolani Blvd. during rush hour today to protest plans to build a new 46-story high rise and 10-story parking garage in their neighborhood.
Residents are worried about how the addition of hundreds of more cars on South St. could make traffic worse.
The Hawaii Community Development Authority is holding a decision-making hearing about the building proposal on Dec 4.
