Reps. Luke and Belatti Honored By Hawaii Women Lawyers

The Hawaii Women Lawyers have announced that Rep. Sylvia Luke is the recipient of the Hawaii Women Lawyers’ Distinguished Service Award and Rep. Della Au Belatti is Outstanding Woman Lawyer.

In addition to their public service, both women are practicing attorneys.

In her seven terms in the House, Luke has been vice-speaker, chairwoman of the Judiciary and the first female chairwoman of House Finance.

As chairwoman of the House Committee on Health, Belatti has helped push bills to reform the Hawaii Health Connector and serves as a member of the Housing, Human Services, Judiciary and Consumer Protection committees.
