In an appeal issued Monday, Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) singled out for praise several U.S. Senate candidates.
They include one from Hawaii:
We’ve got a true progressive ally in Senator Brian Schatz, who won his special election in 2014 and is now running again in 2016 for his first full term. Brian and I have worked closely on issues such as debt-free college and protecting consumers from credit reporting errors, and he’s been an outstanding leader on building a clean energy economy. We need Brian Schatz in the Senate for many more years to come.
“Donate $5 – or whatever you can afford – to their Senate campaigns by midnight tonight,” Warren added.

The other favored Dems are Michael Bennet (Colorado), Kamala Harris California) and Catherine Cortez Masto (Nevada).
Thus far, 14 candidates have pulled papers to run for Schatz’s Hawaii seat. Only three have filed, including the incumbent.
Most of the candidates are people who have previously ran unsuccessfully for a number of offices.
