Wow! Will Caron has really captured the likenesses of the senators- the smoke filled room where the deals are discussed and decided! Over the years when I have taken the time to research and provide testimony on bills at the Leg, I had hoped that some would listen to the taxpayers and act in our best interest. Too many times! Mahalo for your insight into the "process" It's not pretty and it should change. Real term limits for a start, and an end to the musical chairs as career politicians jump from City Council to House to Senator, and then run in another district just because they own property there. The 'Vote for me' banners are already showing up on every vertical surface on O'ahu. I hope that voters will choose to cast their ballot for someone who genuinely wants to make life in the islands better, and not for someone whose name has been plastered all around the neighborhood. Thank you Civil Beat and Mr. Caron!
