LNG, Housing And Accountability: Governor Candidates Q&As
The incumbent faces three challengers on his way to the general election.
Gov. Josh Green is facing three other Democratic candidates in the Aug. 8 primary election on his way to seeking a mandate for a second and final term in the November general election. Also on the primary ballot are two Republican candidates running against each other and four nonpartisan candidates.
All of the candidates were sent a survey by Civil Beat asking them questions about some of the challenges of holding the state’s highest executive office.
They were asked their positions on a range of topics including rebuilding public trust in the Legislature after a bruising year, housing affordability, paying the costs of climate change and whether they support using LNG as a bridge fuel while the state pursues renewable energy goals.
