Parts of the district were heavily impacted during the March storms.

Incumbent Democratic representative Terez Amato has no primary opponents in the August primary election. She will face Republican challenger Sheila Walker November general election for the seat she has held since 2022.

State House District 11 includes Kīhei, Keawakapu and Wailea on Maui.

The candidates were sent a survey by Civil Beat asking them to respond to questions about rebuilding Maui after the wildfires, Bill 9 and how they would address everyday cost of living issues in their community.
