Liberty Keonilani Peralta is Newsletter Manager at Civil Beat. She oversees our expanding portfolio of newsletters, including those serving our neighbor island audiences. Liberty is eager to help more people access trusted news and information that’s vital to sustaining healthy communities.

Liberty has an extensive background in local nonprofit public media, with previous leadership positions in communications and marketing at PBS Hawaiʻi and Hawaiʻi Public Radio.

She has a bachelor’s degree in advertising from Hawaiʻi Pacific University. She’s also a graduate of Waiʻanae High School and its Searider Productions media program.

Outside of work, you’ll likely find Liberty learning the latest K-pop dances, spending quality time with friends and family, or exploring Kaimukī, the neighborhood she’s called home since 2012.
