Tina Ngata hails from the tribal nation of Ngati Porou on the East Cape of Te Ika a Maui, Aotearoa (New Zealand). She works for indigenous university Te Wananga o Aotearoa as a diploma- and degree-level educator in indigenous environmental leadership.
