BWS is asking residents, businesses and government agencies to only use the water they need.

The funding will support water monitoring, filtration, restoration efforts and relief for residents, Hirono's office said.

Residents who get the all-clear will have to leave their hotel rooms and return home.

Initial reports of possible carcinogen BCCE in several samples taken from the zones were false positives, the DOH says.

There are still 11 zones under the health department's "do not drink" advisory.

The Navy says that detections of BCEE are not a threat to the drinking water. Most areas surrounding Pearl Harbor are still advised not to drink it though.
