John Pritchett

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos’ idea of having his company transport products by drone became more plausible after the federal government announced that drone testing will be permitted in nine states, including Hawaii. The federal government selected teams in six states to take part in tests that are expected to cost billions of dollars. One of those states, Alaska, will do some of its testing in Hawaii. The sci-fi nature of drones, along with their increasing use and the federal thumbs up helped to convince Civil Beat cartoonist John Pritchett that 2014 will be the Year of the Drone.
