UPDATED Sept. 1, 2021: Civil Beat has been compiling salaries into searchable databases since we launched our news operation in 2010. They used to be available in separate databases for each year but we have recently compiled all the information into a single, searchable database. You can find fiscal years 2011 through 2020 in the same database.

And now, for fiscal year 2022, which began July 1, we’ve added new information for almost 50,000 state employees. Still to come: 2022 salary information for the City and County of Honolulu and the three other county governments.

Read our previous stories on the database and public employee salaries here. (Previous stories contain just the single year’s database in case you are looking for data from a specific year.)

Help Power Local, Nonprofit News.

Across the nation and in Hawaii, news organizations are downsizing and closing their doors due to the ever-rising costs of keeping local journalism alive and well.

While Civil Beat has grown year over year, still only 1% of our readers are donors, and we need your help now more than ever.

Make a gift today of any amount, and your donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $20,500, thanks to a generous group of Civil Beat donors.
