With what I have heard regarding many of the buildings along the rail route through downtown not being built to handle the rattling and shaking every time it goes by, makes stopping it at Middle St a no brainer!  Although tilting buildings, if they remain standing, could be a good tourist attraction ; )

Wasn't that always the main objective?  Build rail from the easiest location as fast as possible before taxpayers knew what hit em, then use the excuse that we are too far along to stop the project?
